Abstract

To improve the data rate of step frequency radar system, a velocity compensation method is proposed. It uses the effects of the quadratic phase created by moving target to obtain the real velocity without PRF stagger. Requirements of new algorithm for different parameters are studied. Theory and simulation results showed the efficiency of the proposed method. It provides a foundation for the theory of step frequency radar system.
