    Abstract

Traffic jam is one of important issues in the world currently. In this paper, we use Generalized Stochastic Petri Net (GSPN) to build urban bus priority model and analyze the performance measure of the system according to the urban traffic characteristics and the buses' priority principle. In order to set up the GSPN model, we divide the transition into timed transition and immediate transition, and use inhibitor arcs to assure the priority of buses. This method provides the theoretical references for the implementation of the bus priority policy.
