Abstract
In view of the complexity of engine control software, the development method of UML-based object-oriented software is introduced. Starting with CCP's requirements on CAN communication, the whole modeling process in developing CAN communication software is described. The CAN communication software for engine embedded control is developed by using UML language with its function verified.
