Abstract

The Ubiquitous Awareness and Intelligent Solutions Lab (UAIS) was established in January 2009, at the School of Information Science and Engineering, Lanzhou University, China. It mainly focuses on research in pervasive computing, affective learning, the semantic web and CSCW. The lab encourages multidisciplinary cooperation among its researchers who have backgrounds in computer science, medicine, mathematics and signal processing. UAIS has undertaken research projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation China, European Framework Programme (FP7) and "985" and "211" projects from Lanzhou University. UAIS has also established strong connections with research institutes at home and abroad as well as with companies to facilitate its research and training of students.
