Abstract

Aiming at the difficult problem about equipment failure because of wear of engine element surface on the high speed and temperature or other rigor working condition, the tribology behavior of nano-Cu lubricating material has been researched and explored. The tribological performances of nano-Cu lubricating material are tested on the condition of high speed and temperature by friction wear test machine. The repairing performance of nano-Cu lubricating material is analyzed by SEM. The results indicate that the nano-Cu lubricating material has outstanding tribology behavior on the running condition of high speed and temperature. When the testing temperature is 140°C, the nano-Cu lubricating material can make the friction coefficient, worn speckle diameter and worn surface temperature reduce 20.5%, 24.6% and 26.6% respectively, and put out good repairing performance. Simulation examination exhibited that compound lubricating material with nano-Cu can make the frictional work reduce 2.4% and the enging power increase 3.6%.
