Abstract

We investigate the transmission performance of the PS signals in a bandwidth-limited WDM system. With 100-GHz channel spacing, 100-GBd 16QAM, 100G-Bd PS 16QAM (3.775bit/symbol/pol.), and 106-GBd PS 16QAM (3.775bit/symbol/pol.) can be transmitted over 4000, 5200, and 2000km, respectively.
