Abstract
The error of each channel at the probe can be solved by using the amplitude-only rotating electric vector (AOREV) method. However, since the transmission coefficients (TCs) between the probe and different antenna elements are different and unknown, the error of each channel at the antenna element cannot be determined. In this work, a transmission coefficient elimination technique is proposed for the AOREV method. It eliminates the TCs by forming two equations for each channel using the results obtained from AOREV method, so that the error of each channel at antenna element can be determined. The technique does not require any additional measurements. Simulated results show that, after eliminating the TCs by using the proposed technique, the errors of the channels at the antenna elements are below 0.2 dB (amplitude) and 2° (phase), respectively. Experimental results also confirm the proposed technique.
