Abstract

The track-before-detect based on dynamic programming is a new non-coherent integrated technology. It tries to integrate the energy of a target along the path of the target moving in a lot of frames and finally makes a decision about the presence or absence of a target according to a preset threshold. The threshold is often difficult to be set appropriately. A new method for setting the threshold is presented in this paper. The method combines the theoretical computation with our experience. Results of the simulated experiments show that the DP-TBD with the proposed threshold works very well, which will lay the foundation for the practical application of the DP-TBD.
