Three dimensional numerical simulation of detonation wave propagation on corner-turning

Abstract

Corner charge is a common structure of rigid explosive circuit. In order to study the propagation characteristics of detonation wave at corner turning and the phenomenon of low-pressure flow field, program LSDYNA-3D was used to simulate three common types of corner-turning structures. The attenuating-growing process of pressure is shown clearly, which is the result of the variety of propagation area. The change of detonation velocity in side tee-joint is discussed, and moreover, the dimensions of low-pressure detonation zone are obtained.
