HAT in hand: The heteronuclear oxide cluster YAlO 3 +. exhibits higher reactivity and selectivity than Y 2O 3 +. and Al 2O 3 +., respectively, in the reaction with methane by hydrogen-atom transfer (HAT) at room temperature (see scheme).
