Abstract

Based on investigation on flow field distribution law of micropattern of ablative surface for C/C composites, the effects of microcrack size-on cracking damage of the interface between the fiber in Z direction and matrix of C/C composites due to temperature change were emphaticaly analyzed. The propagation law of microcrack with temperature change and the expression for characteristic size of microcrack with temperature change were given. The damage model caused by temperature change under high temperature was put forward, which can provide the basic theory for the ablation calculation of C/C composites. The results show that temperature change under high temperature can deteriorate mechanical property of C/C composites.
