Abstract

The synchronizing process control of synchronizer in the strategy of shifting without clutch disengagement adopted in a single-axis parallel hybrid electric vehicle using AMT is studied. Then a dynamics analysis on shifting process is performed with some evaluating factors representing the control quality of shifting process obtained, and the control strategy of synchronizing process of synchronizer is worked out based on fuzzy inference. Finally a Matlab/Cruise co-simulation test is conducted with a result showing that the control strategy can effectively reduce the engagement jerk and slipping friction power of synchronizer.
