The research and implementation of time division multiple access in OPNET

Abstract

TDMA is an important solution to the shortage of radio spectrum. But the default access mode of OPNET existence nodes is Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA). Some work needs to be done if we want to change the access mode from CSMA/CA to TDMA. The key technologies of TDMA in OPNET are discussed in this paper. The upper and lower layers of MAC are modified to implement TDMA in OPNET existence nodes. The experiment results demonstrate that the realization of TDMA method in the OPNET existence nodes is feasible and effective.
