Abstract

The motion equation of a flapping wing is optimized by studying the influence of the flapping-wing flight way on the aerodynamic. Through high-speed cameras, the flapping process of bees' wings is observed to determine the flight data of the bees' flapping wing and also to confirm the equation of movement of the flapping wing model during the hovering flight. The flow field of a single flapping wing of hovering flight is numerically simulated, and the changes of angle of flapping and angle of attack during the periodic movement are modified so that the motion equation is optimized to be more idealized by monitoring changes of the lift. It is the foundation of researching and developing the flapping wing structure.
