Abstract

The dynamic behaviors of rolling bearing are influenced by various factors, such as the lubricant temperature and lubricants used, which is especially desirable for the high-speed conditions. In this paper, the dynamic model of angular contact ball bearing with considering the interactions between balls and raceways, cage and guiding surface is built firstly, and then effects of temperature and lubricant type on the dynamic characteristic are investigated. The five-parameter rheological model is applied to determine the traction coefficients, which considers the effect of lubricant temperatures. The results show that both the lubricant temperatures and lubricant types significantly affect the skidding behavior of balls and the impact force between ball and cage.
