Abstract

An application for Lamb Waves Tomography (LWT) was presented using time-frequency analysis. By the interaction of Lamb wave and defects, there would be several modes, which were likely to result in the overlap of echoes in time domain. Based on wavelet transform, in this paper, arrival time of the Lamb waves was extracted accurately in time-frequency domain, and this method facilitated to get wave arrival time of wave energy easier and more accurate than others before. Wavelet transform was a better way to incorporate time-frequency analysis into tomography algorithms in order to improve image quality.
