The analysis of L4 linux implementation for education

Abstract

L4Linux is a use-level Linux running on top of L4/Fiasco, which is developed at Dresden Operating System Research Group. Most of the L4Linux documentation are focus on the programming technique, other than emphasizing the design and implementation of the L4Linux. This paper aimed at L4Linux education, containing microkernel based OS concept and the implementation of L4Linux. It would make more people come to understand L4Linux and the learning process easier. The article presented the details in four aspects, timer, interrupt, memory and exception handling.
