Abstract

The techniques of millimeter wave (MMW) detection and identification for armor target were studied. By comparing the differences of MMW radiation characteristics between the target and major interferences, a fuzzy recognition method was adopted to improve identification probability. The problem of how to choose characteristic parameters was discussed for identification, and several characteristic parameters from 109 groups of experimental data were extracted. The matrix standardization of characteristic parameters was made and the characteristic parameters were weighted. A membership function was given. The memberships of all groups of experimental data relatively to target were calculated. The relationship curves among detection probability, false alarm probability and the threshold of membership were established by analyzing the histogram of membership for tank and interferences.
