Abstract

This paper introduced the technique of Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation (AWE) applied to the Finite element-boundary integral with Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (FE-BI-MLFMA) for radar cross section (RCS) estimation over a frequency band. A pseudo-derivative method is adopted to overcome the difficulty of using MLFMA in conventional AWE implementation. The accuracy and efficiency of this method are demonstrated by numerical examples.
