Abstract

Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) nano-crystalline powder (Zr/Ti = 52/48) was prepared by sol-gel method. Ethylene glycol was used as solvent, zirconium nitrate was used as zirconium source. The formation mechanisms of the sol and gel were discussed through analyzing the IR spectra of sol. The transition process from gel to PZT nano-crystalline powder was characterized by IR, TG-DTA, XRD, SEM and TEM. The results show that full perovskite PZT obtained after annealing at 650°C for 2h, the particle size of PZT powder is about 50-100nm.
