Abstract

A novel approach for the synthesis of heterocyclic (triazole, furoxan, furazan) fused pyridazine di-N-oxides was described. The use of PIDA as a mild oxidant enabled the synthesis of these motifs in an efficient manner, which solved the issues of harsh conditions and cumbersome manipulation of existing methods. Moreover, the first synthesis of triazole fused pyridazine di-N-oxide provides a usable building block for the preparation of highly biologically relevant molecules as well as energetic compounds.
