Abstract
Polyacylonitrile (PAN)/β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) composite nanofiber membranes were prepared by electrospinning. The surface morphology of PAN/β-CD composite nanofibers was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), the structure of the composite nanofibers was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)and X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the adsorption behavior of the composite nanofiber membranes to neutral red was studied by UV-Vis spectra. The results show that PAN/β-CD composite nanofibers have smooth surface and even diameter. β-CD, retaining its cavity structure, distributes in PAN nanofibers matrix evenly in the range studied. The adsorption rate is as high as 78.0% when the mass fraction of PAN and β-CD is 10% and 4%, respectively. The adsorption process of neutral red into PAN/β-CD nanofiber membranes is spontaneous and consistent with the Langmuir isothermal adsorption equation.
