Abstract

Using long-chain primarily amines as the template (amines: C nH2n+1NH2, n = 4, 6, 8), a family of manganese phosphates MnPO-Ln (n=4, 6, 8) with lamellar layered structures have been synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by XRD, ICP and TG analyses. The manganese phosphate layers are intercalated with organic amines with different chain lengths. Magnetic measurements show that MnPO-L4 is antifferromagnetic interactions which result in magnetic ordering at TN = 26K.
