Abstract

Firstly, the difficulties of dim target detection are pointed out in this paper. Secondly, all methods are classified as DBT and TBD according to the order of detection and tracking, the mathematical models based on the two kinds of methods are presented and the mainstream methods of each kind of methods are also introduced. Thirdly, the executive performances of the two kinds of methods are compared. In the end, some promising research directions in this field are proposed.
