Abstract

Preventing eavesdropping attacks is a key method to ensure privacy and security of wireless communications. Terahertz band has high directivity, which makes it being a potential candidate for secure wireless data transmission. However, its wavelength is comparable to the surface roughness of common objects. This induces scattering effect and leads to inevitable eavesdropping threat, which needs comprehensive investigations. In this work, we demonstrate the possibility of signal eavesdropping in unmodulated and modulated terahertz channels, by bistatic scattering.
