N2 - We demonstrate a 1st-order surface-grating loaded VCSEL-integrated amplifier/beam scanner. A record quasi-single-mode power of over 4W under pulsed operations are achieved. We also obtained a continuous fan-beam steering of 9°, a diffraction-limited beam divergence angle of 0.04° and hence over 200 resolution points.
