Abstract

The Hilbert transform is shown efficient to be employed in the time delay estimation in some situations. In this paper, we generalize the Hilbert transform associated with the fractional Fourier transform and present a time delay estimation method employing the proposed fractional Hilbert transform. The presented method is appropriated for chirp signals in estimating small time delay. The performance of the time delay estimation method is also analyzed.
