Abstract

Tong detector is a kind of variable dwell detector, and is used to avoid the possibility that the Tong detector get caught in a situation where it satisfies neither k=A nor k=0, the maximum dwell times threshold is set up to help the control and verifying time of direct sequence spread spectrum signal(DSSS signal, henceforth) acquisition. The mathematical model of Tong detector based on Markov chain is built, the first hitting time and sooner-or-later probability of Markov chain are used to analyze the detection performance of Tong detector with detection times constraint. The simulation results show that, if the maximum dwell time threshold is selected reasonably, the detection performance can remain unchanged while the verifying time of DSSS signal acquisition is under effective control.
