Abstract

Hollowing disease is one of the most common diseases of open stone relics. It is very important to timely evaluate and monitor the hollowing disease to prevent further deterioration. The hollowing disease of Yungang Grottoes were detected and studied using terahertz and infrared technology, combined with spectral processing methods in this paper. The results showed that the method can not only effectively detect and locate the hollowing disease, but also quantitative evaluate the degree of the hollowing disease with high precision. This technology can provide effective data support for the restoration and protection of stone relics.
