Abstract

Due to the low distribution density of directed warhead's fragments, a new kind of double charge lamination was presented for a directed warhead. The characteristics of local super-pressure field in charge with two head-on going detonation wave were analyzed. A simulation model was built with Ls-Dyna-3D code for the double laminated charge. Then the fragments gains velocity and distribution was analyzed for a directed warhead with different eccentric initiation. The results show that the local super-pressure field caused by the head-on going detonation wave in the directed warhead is the reason for the velocity increase of the directed fragments. The density of directed fragments distribution can be obviously improved with double charge lamination structure.
