Study on simulation model virtualization in cloud computing environment

Abstract

To break the limitations of traditional simulation technology in response to the large-scale complex systems simulation, a simulation system in which simulation models are virtualized as a kind of resource was proposed in cloud computing environment, and both the simulation models and simulation processes were provided as two kinds of services. Firstly, the simulation system in cloud computing environment was described; secondly, the virtualization of simulation models was studied from three aspects include the definition, the access method and the call mode; thirdly, the construction method and the driven strategy of simulation process was introduced. Based on these theories, a prototype simulation system for the GNSS (global navigation satellite system) simulation was built, and conclusions could be drawn that the simulation system build in cloud computing is an available way and the virtualization method of simulation models is effective.
