Abstract

The range migration correction algorithm is a key step for synthesis aperture radar (SAR) signal processing, especially for real-time SAR processing. The performance of range migration correction algorithm influences the quality of the final image directly. The computation performance of range migration correction process is related to the real-time performance and device quantity of the whole processing system as well. Several range migration correction approaches used in current popular SAR processing algorithms are presented. The error and computation performance of each approach are analyzed in real-time processing circumstance. The result leads to the conclusion that polynomial interpolation is the best choice for real-time SAR range migration correction processing.
