Abstract

Large-format arbitrary-surface projection technique has been widely applied in such fields as exhibition, release of new product and virtual simulation etc. The applications and research status of the large-format arbitrary-surface projection technique are analyzed. A novel large-format arbitrary-surface projection method is proposed, which includes camera calibration, structured light coding, geometry correction based on the observer view etc. The system structure and implementation for the 3D architectural model projection is also described. Experimental results prove that the proposed method meets the requirements of architectural projection.
