Abstract

Based on the traditional method, a new method about firing reliability design for initiating explosive devices is presented. In the new method, the randomicity of stress is taken into account and the general calculation equation of reliability is described. Three examples of new method, normal distribution vs. normal distribution, logarithmic normal distribution vs. logarithmic normal distribution and normal distribution vs. exponential distribution, are given in detail. And for logarithmic normal distribution vs. logarithmic normal distribution, a numerical example is provided to compare with the traditional method. Finally the problems about the new method are discussed and the advices to future researches are given.
