Study on fiber Bragg grating demodulation system based on FBGA

Abstract

In the wavelength demodulation process of fiber Bragg grating signal by the transmission diffraction grating demodulation system, various noise affects the precise positioning of the spectrum peak, thus increasing the difficulty of the wavelength demodulation. A demodulation algorithm based on Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogation Analyzer (FBGA) was proposed. Firstly, set a threshold value to the original spectral data to separate out each single peak signal, then search the approximately position of the maximum value for each single peak signal. Lastly, fitting out the precise position of the peak value for every single peak signal combined with Gaussian Fitting, thus the wavelength can be demodulated accurately. The results of the experiment show that the accuracy is up to ±3 pm.
