Abstract
A method is developed in the study of electronic control unit (ECU) hardware in the loop control simulation of diesel engines and an opened simulation platform is established based on Matlab/Simulink/RTW and dSPACE. A transient diesel engine model is constructed in Matlab/Simulink and the hardware and software of dSPACE system are analyzed. Approaches of improving the real time capability of the simulation are put forward. Simulations of throttle abrupt change (engine load kept constant) and oil mass adjust of a certain cylinder are carried through. Experimental results prove that the simulation platform can provide a real time diesel engine model, perform the ECU hardware in the loop simulation, and provide a way for the testing of ECU.
