Abstract

The precursor of lithium vanadium oxide is obtained via sol-gel technique of citric acid with LiOH and NH4VO3. The samples of Li1+xV3O8 with layered-structure crystallization are prepared by microwave as well as tubular furnace method. The powders synthesized with different method or process are investigated via XRD, C-V and charge/discharge test to evaluate the effect on structure and electrochemical behaviors. Results show that the most effective improvement of electrochemical performance is observed with the Li1+xV3O8 sample obtained by microwaving at 450°C for 150 min.
