Study on coupling loss factor of magnetic flux compression generator

Abstract

The phenomena of breakdown, turn-skipping, contact the magnetic flux and resistance losses in small explosive magnetic flux compression generator are inevitable, in which the influences of flux and resistance losses on unknown structure generator are not linear, therefore it is still a difficulty to determine the results that the generator runs. An analytic solution for the coupling loss factor between flux loss item and resistance loss item was proposed by researching the operation model of a decoupled explosive magnetic flux compression generator, and the clear physical meaning was given. The comparisan between the simulated result and the experimented data shows that the model which takes the above loss factors into account can predict the running results of unknown structure generator, and the simulated result is in approximate coincidence with the experimented result.
