Abstract
This paper investigates and derives the algorithms of carrier recovery in DVB-S2 system. We present the framework of recovery loop and evaluate the performance by simulation is presented. Simulation results showed that the acquisition time of coarse carrier frequency recovery is in good agreement with theoretical analysis. In order to meet the requirement of pilot assisted (PA) linear interpolation for carrier phase recovery, the number of pilot-symbol blocks used for fine carrier frequency recovery should be more than 1000. We propose a modification to the interval of carrier phase linear interpolation is proposed, which improves the bit error rate performance about 0.1 dB.
