Abstract

The serious aero-optical effects can be generated by the aerodynamic heating and aerodynamic effect when a hypersonic vehicle is flying in the air, which makes the target image departure, flutter, fuzzy and energy's attenuation. The thermo-optic effect, the elasto-optical effect and the thermal deformation of the optical window are studied by finite element analysis method. The time variation of peak and peak location of the point spread function is analysed. The transmissivity that is affected by the temperature gradient and the time variation of the window's thermal radiation are studied according to the temperature distribution. The studies provide the basis for the optical window design, material selection and the later image processing.
