Abstract
The counting method for gears was given. The method described the characteristics of gear's loads more fully than the traditional rainflow counting method. It will give an accurate load for gear fatigue design. The details of the counting method for gears were given and the program was designed. An example was given to compare the difference between the counting method for gears and rainflow counting method.
