Abstract

The short-term bias stability of the solid state vibration beam gyroscope is studied in this paper. The effect of different factors on the bias stability of solid state vibration gyroscope has been discussed based on the dynamical equation of solid state vibration beam gyroscope. The computed result showed that the main factor which would influence the short-term stability of solid state vibration gyroscope was the transient solution error. The output signal has been filtered by the low pass filter according to the characteristics of the transient solution error. Simulation results demonstrated that the low-pass filter can effectively suppress the error of output signal. The filtering experiment on the piezoelectric vibration gyroscope has been carried out. The results agreed well with the simulation results. From the simulation and experiment data, the validity of the model and the feasibility of the filtering programs have been proved.
