Abstract

The polypropylene strong alkaline anion exchange fiber was obtained by the chloromethylation and animation of polypropylene and styrene-divinylbenzene, which had been co-radiated. The structure, actived function groups and micro configuration of fibers were characterized by IR, DSC and SEM, together by the element analysis and determinations of the titration curve, exchange content, absorbing kinetics, mechanical intensity and chemical stability. The results indicate that the self-made anion exchange fiber has structural characteristics of the strong alkaline anion exchange fiber and certain chemical stability.
