Abstract

Based on the simplified heat exchanger model of air-condition, numerical simulation of heat exchange in air side has been implemented using Fluent software. The optimized structural parameters of fin were obtained, which provide a theoretical basis for practical design and research. Following the results of optimized structure, the prototype of new heat exchanger was produced. Using air enthalpy method, the contrastive experiments between the new condenser and the common wing-pipe heat exchanger of family air-condition were down. The experimental results show that the new condenser with smaller volume and diathermanous area could create more refrigerating capacity and improve the EER(energy efficiency ratio)by 5%, while the total power consumption is basically unchanged. It could be concluded that this kind of all aluminum heat exchanger is the ideal substitute for family air-condition's wing-pipe heat exchanger.
