Abstract
The reaction of 2-hydroxypyrimidine-4,6-dicarboxylic acid (H 3hpdc) with CuCl2 under different temperatures gives a chain-like compound [Cu2(hpdc)(OH)(H2O) 4]·H2O and a layer-like compound [Cu 2(hpdc)(OH)(H2O)], which exhibit structural interconversion and tunable magnetic properties upon dehydration and hydration.
