Abstract

The structural response of a reflector antenna was simulated by LS-DYNA. The structure-deformed reflector antenna under shock wave loading was used as the initial structure of the reflector antenna for calculating the radiation characteristics, which is a new numerical simulation method for investigating the electrical performances of reflector antennas subjected to shock wave loading. Moreover, the radiation characteristics of the reflector antenna under different shock wave loadings are studied. The numerical results show that large deformation of the reflector surface greatly affects the radiation pattern.
