Abstract

A triple-effect regeneration solar distiller with raw water reservoir has been designed. Its operating principle has been introduced. Experiments with different heating power have been carried out for 6.5 hours with chrome steel strip heater. The results indicated that response speed of the experimental equipment is fast, fresh water begin to appear after 1 hour heating. Fresh water yield of the system gets its maximum value after 5 hours heating and performance ratio of the system can go up to 1.85. According to experimental results, inside heat and mass transfer process of the equipment has been preliminarily analyzed. The whole day fresh water yield curves have been given out and the reason has been explained. At last, relation between heating power and fresh water yield of each stage has been found out. Maximum efficient of the system and its heating power have been indicated.
