Abstract

FeCl3 has been intercalated into PAN-based graphite fibers by molten salts method and the structure of the stage is determined by X-ray diffraction. Thermal stability of intercalated PAN-based graphite fibers is determined using DTA-TG curves and the effect of water washing and acid environment on the stability of the intercalated PAN-based graphite fibers is also investigated.
