Abstract

Structure and the working process of a remote control vehicle for target towing were presented. Methods of control in automatic gear shifting and engine speed modulation were described. Techniques of automatic control for vehicle driving are applied in developing this remote control vehicle, which is equipped with actuators to control the clutch, gear shifting mechanism and actuators of throttling. Sensors reflecting conditions of vehicle driving and actuators are introduced. Digital controls that are characterized using single-chip computers, realize the flexible strategies for vehicle speed control. Practical applications show the high performance of this vehicle speed control. Demands on speed accuracy in remotely controlled target vehicles are satisfied.
