Abstract

This article introduces a method based on MATLAB/Simulink for calculating the maximum straightening force of submunition damping parachutes during the straightening process. Firstly, based on the motion law of the submunition after the submunition is opened, a flight dynamics model of the submunition parachute system is established. Then introduce how to use MATLAB/Simulink modular method to establish a simulation model, and conduct simulation calculations to obtain the maximum straightening force of the damping umbrella rope during the straightening stage. The simulation results well simulated the motion characteristics of the submunition parachute system during the damping parachute straightening stage, and proposed a calculation method for the maximum straightening force of the parachute rope during the straightening stage, which can provide assistance for the overall design of the submunition.
